This site is dedicated to Justin Baty who at the young age of 13, died of a little known infection called primary amoebic meningoencephalitis, or PAM, which is carried by the Naegleria fowleri amoeba that thrives in fresh water when water temperatures are high.
Our goal is to increase public awareness of this nearly always fatal infection, to effect preventative measures to avoid the disease and to provide funding from private donations for research that may eventually produce a cure for PAM.
